Booking Conditions
1. You can book a tour in writing, by fax or via email.
Only after receival of 30% reservation payment and written confirmation
of your booking by Catalan Sports Bikes SL. (or one of our representatives)
does the contract become effective.
Participation for all tours is only possible after signing a Catalan Sports
Bikes SL non-liability declaration. The rider must also complete the rental
contract for the chosen motorbike. Upon request we will send you the non-liability
declaration and the rental contract for the motorbikes before you book
the tour.
2. Deposit - Outstanding Payment
Immediately after payment of the 30% deposit we will process the completion
of the contract (receipt of the booking confirmation). The outstanding
payment is to be made to Catalan Sports Bikes SL no later than 4 weeks
prior to the start of the tour.
3. Service and Price
The services included in the tour price can be found in the tour description.
4. Services
Any changes regarding the services offered on our website (or any description
in written form) will be disclosed to you without delay. Changes in the
driving routes or accommodation are not considered as service changes
as long as the changes are not substantial or don't compromise the entire
layout of the booked tour.
Please keep in mind that a tour using your own motorbike requires more
involvement than a usual flat-rate tour. Many things cannot be fully predicted
or planned. We therefore count on your understanding when necessary changes
have to be made.
5. Visa and Health Regulations
For our trips EU and USA citizens currently do not require any visas or
vaccinations. A passport that is valid for at least six months is adequate
for all touring countries.
6. Tour Cancellation
The client can withdraw from the tour at any time before the tour begins,
by giving a written explanation. Catalan Sports Bikes SL must receive
the written cancellation. In the event of a cancellation by the client,
the tour organizer will demand a cancellation fee, which will be calculated
according to the tour price:
From date of payment –
31 Days before tour start 30 % of the tour price.
30 - 15 days before tour start 40 % of the tour price.
14 - 7 days before tour start 60 % of the tour price.
6 - 0 days before tour start 80 % of the tour price.
Additionally you are at liberty to verify the claim. Rebooking of dates
or destinations are only possible via cancellation of your existing booking
and making an entirely new booking.
7. Cancellation by Tour Organizer
If there isn't a minimum booking of four participants, Catalan Sports
Bikes SL can cancel the tour up to 30 days prior to tour begin. In this
case the client will immediately be informed and all payments made will
be reimbursed. Further claims fail to exist.
Should a tour have to be cancelled up to 30 days prior to tour begin due
to reasons beyond our control (violence, strikes, terrorist attacks, accidents,
illness of tour leader, catastrophes etc.) the client will immediately
be informed and all payments made will be reimbursed. Further claims fail
to exist.
We also reserve the right to discontinue a tour due to the above mentioned
reasons. In this case a part reimbursement of the tour price for the remaining
days will be made (excluding a portion of a possible flight). Further
claims fail to exist.
Individual participants can be excluded from the tour by the tour organizer
and its authorized tour guide due to undisciplined, dangerous, or disturbing
behaviour during the tour. He/she may also be excluded if traffic regulations
are not abided by. In such a case, the rental motorbike will be seized
and no reimbursement for the tour or the rental will be given.
8. Liability
Catalan Sports Bikes SL shall be liable within due diligence of a businessman
for accurate tour preparations, careful monitoring and selection of service
providers (hotels, ferries...) and the usual tour contribution agreed
upon for the area.
Furthermore, Catalan Sports Bikes SL is not liable for any traffic accidents.
In these situations each tour participant is responsible and liable for
his/her individual actions and especially for his/her driving manner,
route choice and self-assessment of his/her abilities, even when following
the tour guide.
Each tour participant agrees that the owners, organizers and representatives
of Catalan Sports Bikes SL are not responsible for his/her personal safety
and can not in any situation, whether individual or collective, be held
liable for incidents in connection with his/her actions or participation
in the tour which may lead to injury, death or damages to his/her property,
family, heirs or legal successors
9. Limitation of liability
The contractual liability of the tour organizer for damages that are not
bodily injury, is limited to three times the tour price, so far as the
damage to the client wasn't intentionally or grossly negligent, or where
the organizer is responsible for damages only due to fault of a service
provider. A liability due to delay is excluded.
10. Liability and Weather
Depending on the season and weather conditions, Catalan Sports Bikes SL
reserves the right to make changes if necessary to the tour route, and
schedule. We strive not to change the character of the tour and to offer
the same services.
The organizer can not be held responsible for any unfavourable weather
conditions. Therefore the participant cannot claim reimbursement for the
tour or rental due to weather conditions.
11. Reclamation
In the event of service failure the participant is obligated to do everything
within reason to minimize the damage. Should you have reason for reclamation
despite the care taken while planning and executing the tour, we ask that
you inform us immediately. You can reach us during normal business hours.
Additionally we ask that all claims be made within one month after tour
end. After this time all claims are only effective if you were, by no
fault of your own, kept from making the claim within the stipulated time.
Any warranty claims can only be effective if made by the participant,
and cannot be transferred to another person.
12. Miscellaneous
The nullity of an individual clause in the contract does not nullify the
entire contract. The same applies to the current travel conditions. All
previously published travel conditions are replaced by the available conditions
and thereby lose their legal effectiveness.

Rental Terms and Conditions
1. Use of the motorbike
the renter will receive the motorbike, mentioned in the contract, in faultless
technical condition along with all vehicle documents, tools and accessories.
The renter commits him/herself to treat the motorbike appropriately and
with care.
The renter is in particular forbidden to:
a) allow anyone, other than those mentioned on the first page, to drive
the motorbike;
b) to allow those mentioned on the first page to drive the motorbike if
they are banned from driving, or if this person does not possess a valid
drivers license, or is incapable of driving;
c) drive the motorbike, if he/she, him/herself is banned from driving,
or he/she does not possess a valid drivers license;
d) use the motorbike when it is defective;
e) use the motorbike for commercial purposes;
f) take part in any kind of motorbike events, including the test drives
that appertain to the events other than those organised by CSB SL.
g) the towing of trailers, vehicles or other objects;
h) use the bike off paved roads or on beaches;
i) the manipulation of the speedometer. Any defects on the speedometer
are to be reported to the rental company immediately;
j) have any repairs done, parts replaced or extracted without the written
consent from the rental company. All technical defects are to be reported
to the rental company immediately.
2. Handing Over and Return of Motorbike
The motorbike is handed over with a full tank of petrol, clean, in faultless
condition and without any visible outer defects. The renter is obliged
to return the motorbike in the same condition, at the agreed place and
time with all vehicle documents, tools, accessories, and a full tank of
petrol. Should any tools or vehicle documents be missing, each item is
to be compensated by € 100.-. Should the vehicle not have a full
tank of petrol CSB is to be compensated by € 25.-.
CSB SL. reserves the right to seize the motorbike, at the expense of
the renter, should the renter misuse the motorbike if the contract
conditions are not fulfilled. If the motorbike is not returned at
the agreed upon time, the renter is responsible for all damages
that the rental company experience as a result due to the untimely
return.
3. Insurance / Conditions of Payment
All prices are including unlimited kilometres (unless otherwise stated),
liability insurance, as well as collision coverage insurance with the
stated excess amount (1500 Euro). The excess amount (1500 Euro) for the collision coverage insurance
is to be used as a deposit for the motorbike and can be paid in cash or
by credit card (Euro/MasterCard, VISA). The rental costs and deposit are
to be paid no later than at the handing over of the motorbike.
4. Booking/Cancellation
When cancelling up to 4 weeks prior to departure a 30% cancellation fee
of the entire tour/rental price is to be paid. Cancellation up to 2 weeks
prior to departure 40% of the entire tour/rental price is to be paid,
and after this time 80% will be charged. There will be no reimbursement
for no-shows if you don't provide a written reason for cancellation. The
cancellation must be in writing. The Catalan Sports Bikes SL travel and
business terms and conditions are effective
5. Drivers License Stipulations / Minimum Age
The drivers license regulations of the respective country are valid. The
renter must have a valid European motorbike driver’s license that has been valid
for at least three years, and he/she must be at least 25 years old.
6. Renters Liability
The renter is liable for negligence and destruction (including theft or
impoundment) with regard to the motorbike, and all damages (e.g. accident
or operating loss, damages as a result of negligent use, and depreciation
damages), that are considered to be above the normal wear and tear resulting
from the tour. The renter is particularly responsible for damages resulting
from use contrary to point 1 in the contract, as well as for damage caused
by a third party, authorized or supervised by the driver, or the driver
him/herself.
7. Requirements in the event of damage
Should the motorbike be involved in an accident, or the motorbike itself,
or parts of the motorbike be stolen, the renter must immediately notify
Catalan Sports Bikes SL verbally and in writing, as well as the next police
station. The written accident report to the rental company must include
the following information:
Date, time and location of the accident; drivers license information;
address and insurance number of the other party involved in the accident,
as well as the vehicle registration numbers involved in the accident;
detailed accident report (sketch, name and addresses of possible witnesses);
extent of the damage (injury, death, damage to property); the location
of the motorbike at the present time.
8. Protective Clothing
Protective clothing and helmet are to be provided by the renter.
9. Data Protection
Catalan Sports Bikes S.L. holds the personal data of all its
clients on a secure database. CSB will not release any client
information without the express permission of the renter.
10. Fines and Speeding Tickets
All fines and/or speeding tickets obtained during the rental
period are the sole responsibility of the renter. All such fines
sent to Catalan Sports Bikes S.L. will be settled by CSB and
the amount will be debted from the renters credit card accordingly
including any administration costs that may arrise.
